A sweet Italian neighbor taught me this long ago. I have it over mashed potatoes or noodles. Ingredients:
2 lbs sirloin steaks, 3/4 inch thick |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 teaspoon dried rosemary |
1 clove garlic (peeled, whole) |
kosher salt & freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Tenderize meat slightly, with a mallet. 2. Remove all outside fat, and slice into pieces about 1/4 inch long. 3. Season both sides of meat. 4. Heat oil in bottom of 12 inch skillet. 5. Add steak, garlic clove, and sprinkle with rosemary. 6. Saute at high heat just until meat is browned. 7. Serve with au jus. |
