Simple, inexpensive tasty no-nonsense dip great for pot lucks or parties. Best served with sliced baguettes or buttery crackers. Ingredients:
• 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained |
• 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream |
• 3/4 cup mayonnaise |
• 1 bulb of garlic chopped fine |
• salt and pepper |
• 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped |
• sourdough bread bowl hollowed out |
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, mix together chopped spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, water chestnuts and add salt and pepper to taste. 2. Chill in the fridge till firm 3. Toast bread bowl lightly and fill with dip to serve |
