Ingredients:
2 cup(s) flour |
1/3 cup(s) sugar |
1 tablespoon(s) baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 1/4 cup(s) heavy whipping cream |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees 2. Mix together the dry ingredients 3. Stir in the cream, mixing as little as possible, just until combined. 4. On a lightly floured surface, fold the dough once, maybe twice. (The less you handle the dough, the more tender and light the scones will be). Press them out by hand until about 3/4 thick. 5. Cut to desired shape (I do triangles), and lay on cookie sheet. 6. Bake for 9-12 minutes. They are by far the tastiest if they are slightly underdone vs. overdone. I pull them out just when they are starting to have visibile color on the edges, before they are uniformly golden. 7. Let them cool, and devour! |
