Easy to make cake, Recipe comes from a friend. Good served with icecream. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup sour milk (or buttermilk) |
2 cups flour |
2 cups rhubarb, chopped |
cinnamon-sugar mixture, to sprinkle top of cake |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease 9x13 inch pan. 2. Cream together both sugars and shortening. 3. Add egg and mix together. 4. Mix in ALL remaining ingredients and pour into prepared pan. 5. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar. 6. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpic comes out clean. |
