Simple Red Beans and Rice |

I know there are already 3 pages of recipes, but the list of ingredients in most were to long for me. Here is a recipe my family loves because is tastes great, and a recipe I love because it's so easy. Ingredients:
1 lb kielbasa, cut into 1/4 inch slices |
1 onion, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, pressed |
1 bell pepper, chopped |
2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans red beans, drained |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1/2 teaspoon thyme |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
salt and pepper |
3 cups brown rice, cooked |
Directions:
1. In a skillet cook sliced sausage for about 2 minutes. 2. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and saute till veggies are tender. 3. Add beans and tomatoes with thier juice. 4. Season with thyme, caynne, and salt and pepper to taste. 5. Serve over rice. |
