Found in a magazine over 30 yrs ago. Very Tasty. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons margarine |
8 ounces potatoes, pared sliced |
1 small apple, pared cored and sliced |
1/2 cup onion, sliced |
1/4 cup carrot, sliced |
1 tablespoon curry powder (to taste) |
2 teaspoons tomato puree |
george washington golden broth and seasoning |
1 1/2 cups beef broth |
1 lemon, juice of |
Directions:
1. Melt margarine in sauce pan. 2. Add potatoes, apple, onion, carrot, curry and tomato puree. 3. Cook about 5 min or until barely colored. 4. ADD Broth made from packet of broth & seasoning mix and beef broth. 5. Cook covered about 45 min or until vegetables are tender. 6. Stir in lemon juice. |
