This is my Lasagna in it's simplest form, occasionally I add Mushrooms, or peppers, whatever I'm in the mood for, but this is the basic recipe and is delicious all on it's own. Inspite of the fact that I do not boil the noodles prior to cooking, I still do not buy the oven ready sheets. Ingredients:

2 medium onions |
2 garlic cloves |
300 g frozen spinach |
300 g cottage cheese |
300 g ricotta cheese |

1/4 cup parmesan cheese |
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese |
13 1/2 g beef bouillon cubes |
3 cups water |
36 ounces tomato sauce (1 and 1/2 jars) |
1 teaspoon basil |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Defrost Spinach and remove as much water as possible. 3. Brown of Ground Beef in frying pan. 4. Dice Onions and Garlic and add to Beef. 5. Roughly chop Spinach and add to Beef. 6. Add Basil, Oregano and Pepper to the Beef. 7. Add 1 jar (24 oz) to the Beef. 8. Mix together the Ricotta Cheese and the Cottage Cheese. 9. Layer your baking pan, Beginning with Lasagna, then 1/4 Cheese mixture, and 1/4 Meat Sauce, repeat, ending with final layer of Lasagna Noodles. 10. Mix together the Beef OXO and water with the final half jar of Tomato Sauce. 11. Slowly pour this mixture over the top of the Lasagna layers. 12. Bake for about 45 minutes. 13. Sprinkle the Parmesan and Mozzarella Cheese over top and Bake for another 30 Minutes. |
