When you want to eat crab, why mask it with tons of spices? If you love crab, you will love this. It's my mom's recipe and when I was 15 I had my mom's older female friends offering me favors for this - so it HAS to be good! Ingredients:
2 (6 ounce) cans real crabmeat (substitute fresh crab if available) |
12 ounces sliced american cheese |
4 tablespoons butter |
2 teaspoons minced onions |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients into top of double boiler pan and heat until cheese is melted. 2. Place dip in chafing dish over sterno flame to keep warm. Serve with mini cocktail rye (best) or crackers. |
