1/4 cup canola oil |
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds |
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric |
1 lb green cabbage, sliced very thinly |
2 garlic cloves, smashed |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne |
Directions:
1. meat tadka: heat oil in large wok over high heat. when the oil begins to smoke, add mustard seeds, covering wok with lid or splatter screen. after seeds stop sputtering, add turmeric and sliced cabbage. now add garlic, salt, and cayenne. toss well. 2. cover, reduce heat to medium, and steam until cabbage is crisp-tender, about 5 minute serve hot. |
