Simple Creamed Turkey Soup |

Good way to get rid of turkey leftovers... I freeze a bag to keep on hand for this quick soup. Ingredients:
2 cups diced cooked turkey |
2 cups cooked rice |
3 carrots pared diced and cooked.. use the microwave.. |
1 small carton of half and half or light cream |
1 cup turkey or chicken broth. i use canned the whole thing. |
sage or poultry seasoning to taste.. |
salt and pepper to taste |
1 table spoon parsley |
Directions:
1. Cook the rice and carrots... I have used minute rice.. 2. Blend flour and the broth with wisk in saucepan 3. Heat stirring often until thickened 4. Add cream to disired consistency. 5. Add rest of ingredents stir 6. add seasonings and let simmer on VERY low for about 5 minutes 7. I can't remember where I got this recipe... been making it for a few years now. |
