Quick and Easy Chili. Can be used as a starting point for something more elaborate Ingredients:
2 tablespoons chili powder |
1/2 tablespoon ancho chili power (optional) |
2 tablespoons paprika |
2 teaspoons ground cumin |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 teaspoons salt |
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
15 oz can of kidney beans |
2 pounds ground beef (or any beef cut into 1/4 cubes) |
1 15 oz can tomato sauce |
2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Mix chili powder(s), paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and flour together in a small bowl. Brown meat over medium-high heat in a 6-quart pot . Add spice mixture and stir well. Add beans and tomato sauce and then water gradually and stir well. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes. |
