Just a really easy experimental dish that turned out well. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped collard greens |
3 cups water, to cook collards |
1 -2 tablespoon old bay seasoning |
4 tablespoons plain yogurt (do not use non-fat) |
salt and pepper, to taste |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
1 teaspoon water |
Directions:
1. Cook the chopped collard greens in some water in a pot on your stovetop for about 15 minutes or until heated through. 2. Drain out some of the water, leaving about 1/2 cup. 3. Add the Old Bay seasoning, salt and pepper to taste, and yogurt. 4. Mix through. If mixture is watery, mix 1 teaspoons cornstarch with 1 teaspoons water, add to collards and cook until sauce is thickened. |
