Simple Chicken and Rice Casserole |

I've been using this recipe since the 1970's and have always been asked for the recipe. It's easy to make and uses ingredients that are most often in the pantry. It's an inexpensive meal that's quick and easy. Ingredients:
1 cup raw rice, washed and rinsed well |
1 (2 ounce) package dry onion soup mix |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans water |
8 -10 pieces chicken (we like legs and thighs best) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Wash and rinse rice well. 3. Mix first 5 ingredients in baking pan. 4. Place chicken pieces on top of rice mixture. 5. Cover and bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to prevent rice from sticking. |
