several ripe roma tomatoes slice long ways |
- 2 or 3 large balls of fresh mozzerella |
- large bunch of fresh basil |
- cold pressed extra virgin olive oil |
- balsamic vinegar |
Directions:
1. Slice the tomatoes and lay them out on a large platter. Layer a slice of fresh mozzerella on top of the tomato and a leaf of basil on the top. 2. Just before serving time, sprinkle with balsamic vinegar and then, the olive oil. Don't put on the vinegar early, the mozzerella won't hold up. 3. The red, green, and white color really looks beautiful on a platter for Christmas. |
