A very simple, tasty recipe for pickled beets. Ingredients:
1 quart beet |
1 cup white vinegar |
1 cup white sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon powdered allspice |
Directions:
1. Cook beets (skins on and scrubbed), cool and peel. 2. Prepare solution. 3. Put beets in jars. 4. Pour solution over beets. 5. Seal jars. |
