Quick, easy, and oh...good! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 lb lean ground beef |
1/3 cup green pepper, minced |
1/3 cup onion, minced |
1 large garlic clove, minced |
1/4 teaspoon oregano, crushed |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1 (15 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1 (6 ounce) package chili, o' mix |
5 ounces beer |
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, brown the meat with the olive oil. 2. Add the green pepper, onion, and garlic and stir for 2 minutes. 3. Add the oregano, black pepper, diced tomatoes, and Chili Mix. Stir to mix well. 4. Add the beer, Worcestershire sauce, and kidney beans. Stir to mix well and bring to a boil. 5. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 2-3 hours; stirring occasionally. 6. Mixture should not cook dry. If that happens, you could add a small can of V-8 juice. |
