Simple Baked Chocolate Tart With Raspberry Sauce |

This is a dream desert , I make it over and over again. Delicious! Ingredients:
24cm x 3cm deep pre cooked sweet pastry shell (or bake your own) |
225g chopped bitter chocolate |
75g unsalted butter |
2 medium eggs |
284mls (1/2 pint) double cream, heated |
65g caster sugar |
pinch salt |
3 tbsp vanilla extract |
250g frozen raspberries |
4 tbsp heaped caster sugar |
water |
lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 160c gas 3 2. Melt the chocolate and unsalted butter together, over a pan of simmering water. 3. In a bowl place the eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and mix well. 4. Slowly add the warm cream to the melted chocolate and butter, then mix well. 5. Add the egg mixture and whisk well. 6. Pour into the prepared pastry shell, then pop into the preheated oven. 7. Cook for 12-15 Min's or until the outside (4cm) of the tart is set, then remove from the oven, and the residual heat will set the flan. 8. Cool and serve at room temperature, with raspberry sauce. 9. To make the sauce, liquidise the raspberries with the sugar and lemon juice. The add enough water to make a thickish sauce. |
