Yummilicious version of the otherwise commonly known chicken strips. A tender, juicy, sweet and meaty trip to heaven. Ingredients:
2 lbs boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips |
1 large lime |
4 garlic cloves, diced |
1 cup brown sugar |
3 tablespoons yellow mustard |
2 cups apple cider |
1/2 cup pasta flour |
1/2 cup white flour |
oil (for frying) |
Directions:
1. Cut chicken into 1-inch strips and beat with a tenderizer. 2. Juice lime in water and rinse chicken 3. Rub chicken in garlic. 4. Mix brown sugar and mustard into a paste. 5. Coat strips in paste. 6. Add oil to frying pan 7. Combine both flours. 8. Coat chicken in flour and fry until chicken floats on top. 9. Place chicken in baking dish. 10. Mix remaining paste with cider, pour over strips and bake in oven covered at 350°F for 20 minutes. 11. Serve over a large salad or with rice and steamed vegetables. |
