Great hors d'hoevres. Serve with duck sauce. Makes about 48 triangles. Ingredients:
12 slices white bread |
1 lb small shrimp, chopped |
1/4 cup onion, chopped |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. Chop all filling ingredients in food processor. 2. Spread on bread. 3. Cut in quarters and fry, shrimp side down in hot oil (375 degrees). 4. Brown both sides lightly. 5. Drain on paper towels and enjoy. |
