This is actually a recipe for Shrimp Scampi as an appetizer, but I just pour it over pasta and make it a main dish. Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter, softened |
1/4 cup olive oil |
2 teaspoons minced garlic (from a jar) |
1 tablespoon minced dry onion |
1 tablespoon freeze dried chives |
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (26-30 per pound) |
1 (16 ounce) package thin spaghetti, cooked |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together softened butter, olive oil, garlic, onions and chives. 2. Add shrimp. Toss to coat. 3. Pour everything into an aluminum foil pan and cook under broiler for 5 minutes. Turn and cook for another 5 minutes. 4. Serve over cooked spaghetti. |
