Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds medium shrimp, cooked, peeled, and deveined |
3/4 cup butter, softened |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1/4 teaspoon onion juice |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon red pepper |
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/4 teaspoon ground mace |
assorted crackers |
Directions:
1. Position knife blade in food processor bowl; place shrimp in bowl, and cover with lid. Coarsely grind shrimp. (A meat grinder may be used instead of food processor, if desired.) 2. Combine ground shrimp and butter in a medium mixing bowl; stir until well blended. Add lemon juice, onion juice, salt, pepper, mustard, and mace; mix well. Refrigerate several hours. Serve with crackers. 3. Note: Shrimp paste may be spooned into a lightly greased decorative mold. |
