Lois Dyer's recipe and I loved it when she battered up fresh Gulf Shrimp. Clean shrimp, blot dry and season with salt and pepper before dipping and frying in hot oil.
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup ice water
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients, add wet.
2. Dip shrimp or onion rings and fry in hot oil.
