Lois Dyer's recipe and I loved it when she battered up fresh Gulf Shrimp. Clean shrimp, blot dry and season with salt and pepper before dipping and frying in hot oil. Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs, lightly beaten |
3/4 cup ice water |
4 teaspoons vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients, add wet. 2. Dip shrimp or onion rings and fry in hot oil. |
