Ingredients:
7 slice(s) bacon, cut in half lengthwise |
1/4 cup(s) butter, melted |
1 clove(s) garlic, pressed |
1 tablespoon(s) grated parmesan cheese |
1 teaspoon(s) lemon juice |
2 ounce(s) monterey jack cheese, cut into 14 (1 1/2 strips) |
14 unpeeled, jumbo fresh shrimp |
Directions:
1. Peel shrimp, leaving tails on; devein if desired. Butterfly shrimp by making a deep slit down back, from large end to tail,cuting to but not through inside curve of shrimp. Place a cheese strip inside each slit, and wrap sides of shrimp around cheese. Wrap each shrimp in a bacon slice and secure each with 2 wooden picks. 2. Stir together butter and next 3 ingredients; brush on shrimp. Place shrimp on baking sheet. 3. Broil 5 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) 4 minutes on each side or until bacon is crisp. 4. Yield: 14 appetizers |
