This eye catching appetizer will impress your friends at your next get-together. Not only is it pleasing to the eye, it’s pleasing to the palate. Ingredients:
shrimp in pastry puffs |
6 frozen patty shells |
2 tbs. margarine or butter |
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) campbell’s cream of celery soup |
1/4 cup chablis or other dry wine |
1/2 cup frozen peas |
1 1/2 pounds small shrimp, shelled and deveined |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven and bake according to package directions; keep warm 2. Meanwhile, in a 10- inch skillet over medium heat, in hot margarine, cook mushrooms until tender and liquid is evaporated, stirring occasionally. 3. Stir in soup, wine and peas. Heat to boiling. Stir in shrimp; cook until shrimp turn pink and opaque. (DO NOT OVER COOK AS SHRIMP WILL GET TOUGH). Spoon shrimp mixture over patty shells. Makes 5 cups. |
