My brother brought a Mother's Day cookbook home from his class. This is similar to shrimp scampi, too. Ingredients:
1/4 lb butter |
3 lbs shrimp |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic clove |
1 tablespoon dried oregano |
1 tablespoon dried basil |
1 tablespoon cracked black pepper |
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg |
1 cup white wine |
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream |
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Place butter in skillet, melt over medium heat. Add shrimp and saute for about 4 minutes. 2. Add salt, garlic, oregano, basil, black pepper, nutmeg, and white wine. Bring to a boil for 2 to 3 minutes; remove from heat. 3. Strain contents and remove shrimp. Put liquid in skillet; add cream and Parmesan. Bring to a boil. 4. Add shrimp, and let simmer for about 5 minutes. |
