Shrimp creole to be eaten with or without rice. Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp, cleaned peeled and deviened |
1 green pepper |
1 onion |
3 stalks celery |
2 cloves of garlic |
10 oz frozen or fresh okra |
6 oz of tomato paste |
15 oz of diced tomatoes |
1 tbsp cajun seasoning |
2 tbsp olive oil |
Directions:
1. dice the pepper, onion and celery 2. chop the garlic 3. add oil to pan and the chopped vegetables 4. cook until semi tender 5. add the seasoning 6. add tomatoes and tomato paste 7. stir it well to mix everything together 8. let the vegetables come to a boil 9. add the shrimp 10. cook for another 15 minutes on medium 11. Serve over rice or alone |
