a simple variation of hush-puppies. Ingredients:
1 medium onion |
1 medium potato |
1 1/2 lbs shrimp, raw |
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. peel and de-vein shrimp. 2. In food processor or grinder, grind onion potato and shrimp together. 3. stir in egg, salt and pepper. batter must be thick. 4. heat about 2 or 3 cups of oil in medium skillet to about 360 degrees F. 5. drop by spoonfulls into hot oil, fry until golden turning once or twice. |
