Shrimp & Asparagus Casserole

I found this in a magazine I was looking at today. It sounds good. I am not sure all of my family members will like this, but I plan on making it.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
3/4 cup light cream
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 lb cooked small shrimp
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen asparagus cuts, thawed and drained
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour, cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
3. Gradually whisk in milk and cream, cook until thickened. Stir in broth, Season with salt and pepper.
4. Stir in egg yolk, cheese and shrimp. In a greased 2 1/2 quart casserole dish, arrange half of the asparagus, spread with half the shrimp mixture. Repeat layers.
5. Top with bread crumbs.
6. Bake for 30 minutes.
