Seams like a lot of ingredients but it is well worth it good on a cool night or just anytime. Ingredients:
2 lbs raw shrimp |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can creamed corn |
1/2 cup oil |
1/2 cup flour |
3 cups onions, chop |
1/2 cup bell pepper, chop |
1 cup celery, chop |
1/2 cup green onion, chop |
1/2 cup tomato, chop |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole corn |
1 1/2 quarts water |
salt |
pepper |
garlic salt |
sugar, i use 1 teaspoon of each |
Directions:
1. Brown oil and flour to make roux. 2. add onion, bell pepper,celery,and tomatoe. 3. cook 10 minutes, on medium heat make sure you keep it stirred. add creamed corn, whole corn,salt,pepper,garlic salt and sugar to taste. 4. simmer 30 minutes. 5. add shrimp,and green onions. 6. cook 20 minutes. |
