My mom made this all the time when I was growing up. So easy and so good! Ingredients:
1 cup water |
1 cup soy sauce |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon crushed ginger (optional) |
1 whole broiler-fryer chicken, cut up |
Directions:
1. Mix all liquid ingredients well and pour over chicken in skillet. Fry on medium heat until chicken looks done in the middle; about 30-40 minutes. Serve over white or brown rice. Spoon some of the sauce over rice as desired. Add cut-up orange slices to skillet for some orange flavor if desired. 2. Any combination of chicken parts will work for this recipe. |
