This was given to my mother in law by friends of hers who owned and ran the Showboat Cocktail Lounge in Sacramento, CA, circa 1968! Her note on the recipe card: Meat Marinade - Friends who own Cocktail Bar in Sacramento famous for its Appetizzers [sic]. She's very fond of this and likes it on fajita strips! Ingredients:
1/4 cup salad oil |
1/3 cup worcestershire sauce |
1 cup soy sauce |
1/2 cup lemon juice |
1 cup burgundy wine |
1/4 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
4 teaspoons dried parsley flakes |
4 teaspoons fresh ground pepper |
10 teaspoons dry mustard |
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger |
2 cups sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix well. 2. Store in refrigerator. 3. Marinate meats overnight and cook on Hibachi grill (in house) or outside. |
