I don't know how many this makes... I can tell you that I worked side by side with Karen for 11 years. It's not a wonder that we became fast friends! Her mother, Doris, is a fabulous cook and this is her shortbread recipe passed on to me by Karen. Ingredients:
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar |
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour |
1 cup butter, room temperature |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Knead the sugar, flour and butter together on a board until smooth 3. Pat with your hands to a 1/2 thickness. 4. Cut into 2 strips. 5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes. 6. Remove from oven. 7. Cool. |
