Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
1/2 cup light molasses |
3 cups flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 1/3 cups sour cream |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts or 1/2 cup walnuts or 1/2 cup hazelnuts (your choice) |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Grease one 10 X 4 tube pan. 3. Mix the brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon, set aside. 4. Beat butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and molasses with an electric mixer for 2 minutes on medium. 5. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. 6. Add the flour mixture and the sour cream alternately to the egg mixture until combined. 7. Spread 1/3 of batter in pan. 8. Sprinkle with 1/3 cinnamon-nut mixture, repeat twice. 9. Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. |
