4 large potatoes, washed, peeled, and cut into long, thin strips
vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Soak potatoes in cold water to cover at least 30 minutes. Drain well and pat dry. 2. Cook potatoes in deep hot oil (375°) until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
