Sherried Ham in Cream

Adapted from Best of Scandinavian Cooking. Prep time includes marinating time.
Ingredients:
12 thin slices cooked ham (about 1 1/2 pounds)
1 cup dry sherry
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups shredded edam cheese (or gouda)
Directions:
1. Place ham in sherry.
2. Refrigerate for 12 hours, turning occasionally.
3. Preheat oven to 350°F.
4. Remove ham from sherry and roll up.
5. Pour cream over ham.
6. Sprinkle cheese evenly over top.
7. Bake for 30 minutes.
