This frozen dessert starts with a vanilla wafer crust and ends with a rum sauce. Keeps well and is delish. Ingredients:
1 vanilla wafer pie crust (or graham, or animal cracker, etc) |
1 pt vanilla ice cream |
2 pt any sherbert - 2 different flavors |
whipped cream |
6 oz orange juice concentrate |
lemon pie filling, 1 can |
3 tbsp rum |
Directions:
1. Place softened vanilla ice cream on top of crust. Refreeze. 2. Place 1 flavor softened sherbert next. freeze 3. Place 2nd sherbert nex. freeze 4. Optional: Decorate with piped whipped cream around the sides. 5. Place plastic wrap over the top and freeze. 6. SAUCE: Heat and mix together the concentrate, lemon pie filling and rum. Pour over the pie when served. |
