My wife and I created this recipe using a combination of our different recipes. Ingredients:
800 g hamburger or 800 g beef mince |
1 1/2 finely chopped onions |
5 potatoes (enough to fill a large sauce pan) |
1/2 cup grated cheese |
1 garlic clove (minced) |
75 ml lea & perrins chili-garlic sauce |
250 g sliced mushrooms |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 1/2 cups canned corn or 1 1/2 cups frozen corn |
milk |
butter |
Directions:
1. Boil water in large saucepan and add the 1/2 onion and about a teaspoon of salt. 2. Add chopped potatoes and reduce heat. 3. Add hamburger or mince and garlic to frying pan and cook until almost all of the hamburger is browned. 4. Add the 1 onion and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat or until hamburger is fully cooked and mushrooms begin to shrink. 5. Drain excess grease from frying pan and add corn. 6. Add Worcestershire sauce and Chili & Garlic sauce and keep heat on medium. 7. -. 8. Remove potatoes, drain, and add milk, butter, and salt to taiste while mashing. 9. Add cheese to mash potatoes. 10. -. 11. Add frying pan contents to a Pyrex dish or any oven safe glass pan and top with mash potatoes. 12. Cook on 175°C or 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned. |
