Created for the Spring 2003 Ready Steady Cook recipe contest. Very easy to make, and the kids really love it. A great supper or potluck dish. Ingredients:
1 lb ground lamb |
2 eggs |
1 large onion, peeled and coarsely chopped |
3 large carrots, peeled and shredded |
1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 teaspoon garlic granules |
salt and pepper |
1 lb small shell pasta, cooked and drained |
Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients except for the cooked pasta shells together. 2. Add the pasta and thoroughly combine. 3. Bake covered in a 350°F oven for 1 1/4 hours. 4. Uncover for an additional 10 minutes to get a crunchy top. |
