A wonderful piece of heaven in flat-breads' world. These are served hot.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp white sugar
1/4 cup warm milk
6 strands of saffron
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup flour
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 egg
golden raisins
Directions:
1. Mix yeast, sugar, saffron and warm milk. Set aside.
2. Whisk egg with melted ghee
3. Mix flour, salt and caster sugar. Make a hole in the centre and pour yeast-milk and whisked egg.
4. Knead for about 10 minutes. Cover and leave for 1 hour until double in size.
5. Preheat the oven to 230C [446F]
6. Knead the dough again and divide into 6 parts.
7. Roll 12.5cm diameter circles and add press some raisins on the top.
8. Bake for 6-8 minutes until you will start seeing brown parts.
