I got my first fondue pot this last Christmas...LOVE it! I'm as big of a caramel lover as I am chocoholic, this is a wonderful recipe. Amaretto and Grand Mariner add an extra special touch. Ingredients:
3 pounds caramel candy |
1 cup condensed milk |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1 tablespoon amaretto |
1 tablespoon grand marnier |
1 3-pound bag of apples |
2 large bags of marshmallows |
4 pounds bananas |
1 box plain piroline tea cookies |
1 bag pretzels |
toppings |
crushed butterfingers, cookies, nuts, etc |
Directions:
1. Warm fondue pot over low heat. 2. Add caramel, let melt to liquid consistency. 3. Add milk, flavorings. 4. Stir until well-blended. 5. Keep on low heat for caramel to stay warm and liquid. 6. Dip various items and sprinkle toppings over them. |
