shanghai stewed chicken Ingredients:
1 cup chinablue sesame soy sauce |
6-8 chicken drumsticks, knuckles removed |
4 onions, peeled and diced |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. To remove knuckles from drumsticks, use cleaver or large end of chef's knife. Peel off skin and chop off knuckle about 1-2 inches up from base of bone. 2. Marinate chicken in 1 cup chinablue sesame soy SAUCE for 10-20 minutes. 3. Place onions and cooking oil in 3 quart or larger covered pan. Cook on low heat f 20 minutes. 4. Add drumsticks and sesame soy SAUCE marinade to onion. Cover and cook on medium-low for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Serve warm over steamed rice. |
