This recipe came from my college roommate Shandi. I use sam adams and for the mustard I use Colman's Irish mustard Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger |
2 cups cups beer |
1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs |
2 onions |
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder |
1/2 tablespoon all purpose greek seasoning |
salt |
pepper |
3 potato buns |
3 tablespoons butter |
4 tablespoons brown sugar |
3 slices lettuce |
3 tablespoons mustard |
3 tablespoons horseradish sauce |
Directions:
1. for the patties. 2. preheat oven to 400 degrees. 3. mix together hamburger, 1 cup beer, onion to taste, garlic, greek seasoning, salt, pepper. 4. shape into patties. 5. pat with bread crumbs to keep patties together during cooking process. 6. put in oven for 10 minute. 7. open oven, flip patties brush with 1/2 of the remaining beer. 8. bake for another 10 min. 9. flip patties back over and brush with remaining beer, bake for 5 more minute. 10. For the toppings. 11. Slice second onion thinly. caramelize in skillet with butter, brown sugar and second cup of beer. 12. Top with onions, mustard, horseradish and lettuce. |
