My Mother always told me the less you handle dough, the better it will be. This is too simple! And it makes the flakiest crusts for pies.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup crisco shortening
1/2 cup cold water
1 dash salt
Directions:
1. Put flour, sugar, salt and Crisco shortening in a plastic bowl with a lid.
2. Seal and wink (let the air out;-).
3. Shake until it sounds like sand.
4. Add water.
5. Seal and wink.
6. Shake until it sounds like a rock.
7. Roll out for your favorite pie or pastries.
