Try this simple crust dessert with cream cheese and chocolate pudding layers. After just one bite you'll be in ecstasy! Ingredients:
5/8 cup butter, softened |
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup confectioners' sugar |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed |
1/2 cup walnuts |
2 (3.9 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix |
2 1/2 cups milk |
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. To Make Crust: Cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs; pat mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. 3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes; let cool. 4. In a medium bowl, cream together sugar and cheese, then fold in 1 cup whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust and sprinkle with walnuts. Beat pudding and milk in a medium bowl until thick; pour over cream cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate; when ready to serve spread 1 cup whipped topping over top. |
