We have NO idea where this recipe got its name, but it is sinfully delicious. I never take it anywhere without taking several copies of the recipe with me, because someone always asks for it. Ingredients:
2 cans pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls |
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese |
3 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 egg (separated) |
3/4 cup sugar, plus |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Flatten 1 pkg. 2. of crescent rolls to cover the bottom on an ungreased 9X13 inch pan. 3. Mix 3/4 cup sugar, softened cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla& egg yolk until creamy. 4. Spread over rolls. 5. Unroll second package of rolls on top. 6. They won't cover every little space, but that's okay. 7. Mix egg white& 1/3 cup sugar. 8. Pour over second layer of rolls. 9. It also won't cover the whole thing, but just spread it around with a spatula to cover as much as you can. 10. Sprinkle with cinnamon. 11. Bake 20-25 minutes 350 degrees. |
