This is one of those great party dishes you can set it out while the crowd is mingling - always a huge favorite - and you can change the ingredients to your liking its not going to change the result!!! Ingredients:
1 med avocado, pitted and mashed |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1 tsp. prepared crushed garlic |
1/4 tsp. salt |
1 large lemon, juiced |
tabasco sauce to taste |
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup shredded monterey jack cheese |
2 cups cochise corn and black bean salsa |
1/2 cup chopped scallions |
1/2 cup chopped ripe black olives |
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped |
2 cups shredded and chopped lettuce |
1 large tomato, diced |
Directions:
1. Combine mashed avocados with sour cream, garlic, salt, lemon juice and Tabasco to make guacamole. Or use your favorite guacamole recipe. 2. Layer ingredients in a shallow dish in the following order: lettuce, guacamole, onions, 1/2 of the cilantro, 1 cup Corn & Black Bean Salsa , 1/2 of the cheese and olives, remaining cup of Cochise Corn & Black Bean Salsa, the rest of the cheese, olives and cilantro and the tomatoes. Serve with tortilla chips and fresh vegetables. |
