My guess is that grandma used canned shrimp. Time does not include to set. Ingredients:
1 (6 ounce) package lemon jell-o gelatin or 1 (6 ounce) package lime jell-o gelatin |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup boiling water |
1 cup cold water |
1 cup cool whip |
1/4 cup mayonnaise |
3 hard-boiled eggs |
1 cup shrimp |
2 cups celery |
1 tablespoon grated onion |
1 cup thinly grated longhorn cheese |
Directions:
1. Stir Jell-O and salt into boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add cold water. Set until syrupy. 2. Add remaining ingredients. Chill until set. Serve on lettuce. |
