Sesame Tofu (That My Kids Will Eat) |

DH and I love Sesame Tofyu, but the kids always turn their noses up at the idea. Since I am not a short order cook, I only make one daily special for dinner. DS got into the kitchen with me and we modified the recipe. This is what we created. Ingredients:
14 ounces extra firm tofu |
1/3 cup honey |
3 tablespoons braggs amino acids |
2 inches gingerroot, grated |
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil |
1 tablespoon mirin |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
Directions:
1. Drain, press and dry fry the tofu. (In order to dry fry, I always use a teflon pan. Otherwise you will have to fry the tofu in oil.). 2. In a sauce pan combine the remaining ingredients and slowly bring to a boil. 3. Serve with brown rice and brocolli. I put the sauce in a gravy boat so that everyone can choose their own amount. |
