From Virginia Fare (1994) Reduced the original amount of salt from 2 Tablespoons to 1/4 teaspoon. Ingredients:
1 lb angel hair pasta |
2 tablespoons sesame oil |
2 tablespoons rice vinegar |
2 teaspoons hot pepper oil |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
2 tablespoons sugar |
4 tablespoons vegetable oil |
4 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds |
3 -5 green onions, sliced |
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside. 2. Blend sesame oil, vinegar, hot oil, salt, pepper, soy sauce and sugar. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour over pasta. 3. Toast sesame seeds by placing in a hot skillet and tossing until lightly toasted. Set aside seeds. 4. In same pan used for sesame seeds, heat vegetable oil until smoking. Pour over pasta. 5. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and green onions. Toss well. |
