This is another of my favorite dressings... I just don't mind it if it mixes with the other food on the plate - in fact, I often have this on a plate just for that reason! I have this with everything from simple spring greens to an extravagant salad with sliced radish, cucumber, red bell peppers, scallions, and sometimes, even cold brown rice mixed in with the salad greens! Read more ! This is also very versatile - when I feel a little sassy, I just add a little more ginger or chili paste, I vary the garlic and just about every other ingredient depending on what I'm eating it with! Have fun with this very delicious dressing! Ingredients:
1/3 cup rice vinegar |
2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1/4 cup palm sugar or light brown sugar, or honey |
1 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger |
1 clove of garlic |
2 teaspoons asian chili-garlic paste |
1 -2 tablespoon toasted sesame oil |
1/2 cup peanut oil or a more neutral oil, such as safflower or vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Mix all of the ingredients together with the exception of the 1/2 cup of oil 2. stir the ingredients with a whisk, and slowly add the oil. This is a very thin dressing, and will separate. I simply shake it before use. |
